Banta Feeds One-Item Emergency Food Drive
Held from February 24, 2009 to March 3, 2009.

44 bags distributed between the Christian Food Pantry and the Immanuel Lutheran Food Pantry.
Central Challenge Food Drive
Held from March 6, 2009 to March 13, 2009. And actually, because of it’s success, it was even extended an extra day.

Linkin’ Lincolnway One-Item Food Drive
Held from March 31, 2009 to April 4, 2009.

Valparaiso City Hall Food Collection
was from April 6, 2009 to April 10, 2009.

A $200.00 donation was made by the city of Valparaiso, plus the public’s donations received in the Banta Feeds container at city hall. Distributed between the Immanuel Lutheran Food Pantry, Hilltop Food Pantry, First Contact, & the Salvation Army–all in Valparaiso.
Valparaiso Police & Firefighters Food Fight
Held from April 6, 2009 to April 10, 2009.
Inventory & Distribution
Firefighters=$1,350/3 truckloads of food Police=17 bags and 3 boxes of food. Distributed between the Immanuel Lutheran Food Pantry and the Hilltop Food Pantry.
Porter County Sheriff’s Shuffle Food Drive
Held from May 4, 2009 to May 8, 2009.

17 bags and 1 box filled with food. Distributed between the Salvation Army Food Pantry in Valparaiso and the Portage Township Food Pantry in Portage.
Valparaiso Schools Leading the Pack Food Drive
Held from May 18, 2009 to May 22, 2009.
Inventory & Distribution
An estimated 1,050 lbs. of food was distributed between the Salvation Army Food Pantry in Valparaiso, and the Hilltop Food Pantry in Valparaiso as well. The donations were a combo effort between a Valpo Schools food drive and a subsequent Banta Feeds Food Drive held within the Valparaiso Community Schools. All donations were donated to Banta Feeds and distributed to the pantries of choice.
Taltree Cares Food Drive
Held on June 6, 2009.

35 bags and 2-45 gallon containers overflowed with donations during the Taltree Cares Food Drive. Distributed between First Contact Food Pantry in Valparaiso and the Northwest Indiana Food Bank located in Gary, IN.
Evelyn Bay Coffee Company Food Drive 2009

2-45 gallon Banta Feeds containers were filled up with donations at the Evelyn Bay Coffee Company in Valparaiso, IN. These donations were distributed to the Hilltop Food Pantry in Valparaiso, and the second container was distributed to the Bethel Valparaiso Food Pantry.
Northview Neighborhood Food Drive
Held from from August 5, 2009 to August 8, 2009.
Inventory & Distribution
The final tally of this food drive is 61 bags, 2-50 lb. boxes, & 3-12pks. of Coke Zero. These donations were distributed to the Salvation Army Food Pantry in Valparaiso.
Jefferson Park Neighborhood Food Drive
Held from from August 26, 2009 to August 29, 2009.
Inventory & Distribution
The final tally of this food drive is 65 bags of food & 2 boxes of toiletry/home supply donations. These food donations were distributed to First Contact in Valparaiso. The toiletry/home supply donations were distributed to the New Creation Men’s Center in Valparaiso.
Popcorn Festival Food Drive
Held from September 8, 2009 to September 12, 2009.
Inventory & Distribution
This food drive brought in 2-45 gal. containers full of non-perishable food and toiletry/home supply donations. The non-perishable food donations were distributed to Bethel Food Pantry in Valparaiso, and the home supply/toiletry donations were distributed to the New Creation Men’s Center in Valparaiso.
Porter-Starke Food Drive
Held throughout the entire month of October, 2009.

32 bags and 6 large boxes filled with donations were collected. The donations were distributed to the Hilltop Food Pantry in Valparaiso.
Forest Park Neighborhood Food Drive
Held from November 11-14, 2009.
Inventory & Distribution
78 bags of non-perishable food and home supply donations were collected from the Forest Park Neighborhood. The Thanksgiving side dish donations were distributed to the 500 Turkeys program of Life Bridge Christian Church. The remainder of donations will be distributed to one of our local food pantries. It will be noted here when they’re distributed.
Porter Health System Pitchin’ In Food Drive
Held on December 18, 2009.

The employees at the Valparaiso hospital raised $417.45 in one day for those in need. This money will be going to the Immanuel Lutheran Food Pantry in Valparaiso, and the Portage Township Food Pantry in Portage.
2nd Banta Neighborhood Food Drive
Held from May 5-8, 2010.

This food drive collected 767 lbs. of donations, and they were distributed to the Housing Opportunities Food Pantry in Valparaiso.
Worthington Gates Neighborhood Food Drive
Held from June 23-26, 2010.

This food drive collected 188 lbs. of donations that were distributed to the Housing Opportunities food pantry in Valparaiso.
