Our Volunteers

Gina Westendorp

Gina Westendorp volunteers by helping to organize the program & performing container pick ups. This fellow Banta Neighborhood resident says, “Today’s society needs to start thinking about we, and stop thinking about me.”

Luciano Garza

Luciano Garza is volunteering for Banta Feeds by building outdoor containers & delivering food to food pantries because he “wants people to be aware that many of our neighbors in Valparaiso are struggling, but often going unnoticed.”

Raymond Hisick, Jr.

Raymond Hisick, Jr. volunteers by helping to distribute food to pantries and donation bins to their prospective sites. He’s “seen even the biggest local companies freeze their worker’s pay, take away retirement benefits, cut hours, lay people off or eliminate them, and then seen what it’s like for those people to try to make it. If the company is flourishing & the workers are drowning, it just isn’t right”, said Hisick.

Youth Volunteer

This young lady is a youth volunteer. She volunteers by helping to sort food & distribute flyers. “I like to help children if they are sick or homeless, & older people who are poor. It makes me feel really happy & sometimes glad.”

Youth Volunteer

This young man volunteers his time distributing fliers and sorting food to be delivered to the pantries. “I help Banta Feeds because I like to help other children who are poor or homeless that can’t get food. It makes me feel good about myself because I’m helping others.”

Bill Moran

Bill Moran volunteers by devoting some of his time & talents to the development of the program. He wishes to give back to his community that has given so much to him.

Leeanna & Michelle Rosenbaum

Leeanna & Michelle Rosenbaum volunteer for Banta Feeds by serving as Drive Leaders for their neck of the woods in Valparaiso: the Jefferson Park Neighborhood.

Kim Ranegar

Kim Ranegar has been volunteering with Banta Feeds since March 2009. She says, “I support Banta Feeds because it’s a way to have an immediate and positive impact in my own community.” She volunteers her gift of writing, communication & public relations to the program, and we’re so glad to have her on board.

Christina Atherton

Christina Atherton is an artist from LaPorte, IN who has volunteered her time in stenciling and painting our Banta Feeds containers. She loves to share her artistic gifts to help out good causes. We are thankful for her.
